Grosvenor Park
Client: Mansell Construction
Project: Grosvenor Park
Location: Chester
Grosvenor Park is a Public Park consisting of 20 acres of land overlooking the River Dee. It is regarded as one of the finest and most complete examples of Victorian Parks in England, which has recently achieved the status of Grade II Listing in the National Register for Historic Parks & Gardens. As part of a recent initiative to develop park areas, Jennings Roofing were employed by the Principal Contractor to roof a Band Stand building. The specification for all elements was in-keeping with the Victorian image of the park and its buildings, with all products supplied and fitted in that style and to an extremely high standard. Clay Plain tiles were fitted to the Octagonal shaped roof, requiring a high level of craftsmanship, particularly on the mitred hips. Intricate Lead Work was fitted to the spire and surrounding area with Solid Oak used for the fascia’s. A prestigious project, completed to the highest standards and in the style of the Victorian era.
